Sabina 2000
functions as a non-profit, tax free corporation
within the financial umbrella of the Clinton County
Foundation, which manages funds for over fifty
Clinton County groups. By pooling investments, each
fund can realize a greater gain. In return, the
Clinton County Foundation charges one tenth of the
interest earned for investment administration.
Sabina 2000
may receive donations from whatever sources are
available to a nonprofit organization - gifts from
individuals and businesses, grants, and
governmental organizations.
Any gift of
cash, stock, property, etc. to Sabina 2000
qualifies as a charitable tax deduction, complying
with Section 501 (C) 3 of the IRS code. Donors will
be sent a receipt to use in filing income tax
forms. Donations to Sabina 2000 are donor directed
-- the donor indicates how the money is to be
used.
Sabina 2000
has established a permanent endowment fund with a
projected goal of $250,000. Only the income from
the endowment fund principal can be used to finance
various projects. Endowment gifts, too, are donor
directed. Contributing to a permanent endowment is
a positive way for individuals and organizations to
continue supporting this community.
